Soap coloring - 2009/04/15 13:51 I am new to the soapmaking business and will begin selling in a local shop in a few weeks. As I research I see all of these different colors of soap (namely the white soaps catch my eye). When looking at recipes, I notice that many use the same ingredients that I use, but my bars are still a yellowish tan - Is it my coconut oil (it is an orangy hue in the pail). I have different scents and want to start experimenting with color, but if they'll all turn out funny looking and blah, I don't want to waste the time. Any ideas - my soaps are made of olive oil, coconut oil and solid vegetable oil.
