HELLO - 2011/03/22 10:16 Hi i was wandering if coconut milk can be used instead of water in a soup recipe , i have a gallon of coconut milk i would like to use and is there different kind i should now about . great looking forum

i read that i should freeze till slushy in ice cube trays so it does not burn when mixed with lye , still looking for that recipe? ,i will be trying this week end hope fully .

Re:HELLO - 2011/04/04 10:16 I am not sure if it needs to be frozen, but that is what you want to do you can put it into large zip lock bag or any plastic container, ice cube trays are a waste of time and work. Freeze until solid and thaw, or just freeze until icy/slushy and use. Add lye very slowly. (That's what I do when adding fresh goat milk to lye..)
