An alternative to making a "black" soap would be to use black clay or dead sea mud. I've been using dead sea mud a lot lately...nice stuff and you get a nice deep gray...not really black. I have seen some folks use Australian Black Clay and get a really black soap. Nice thing with the clays and mud is that it won't discolor skin, wash clothes, etc when you wash with it. hope this helps, Jan
