Insurance Liability??? - 2010/01/04 08:45 Hi there everyone,
I have recently started selling my soaps in local little shops and was wondering if anyone has any idea of what type of insurance I should have? I live in Canada and have looked into Home Based Business for Self insurance but they say that soap doesn't qualify and I would have to go to commercial insurance which costs over $100/ mth.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance and Happy New Year

Re:Insurance Liability??? - 2010/01/04 11:41 I live in Canada too and my home insurance company agreed to cover my home-based business business for just $80 extra a year! Doesn't hurt to ask! Denise

Re:Insurance Liability??? - 2010/01/07 09:48 Thanks Denise, I actually just asked and my insurance and they said that soapmaking doesn't qualify. Would you mind telling me who your insurance policy is through, as I do not have a problem leaving my existing insurance broker (as they really aren't very helpful). If you you want to email me privately I would really really appreciate it as I don't want my pants sued off!!!

Thank you so much
